Meet our Founder - Brett Fick

Brett Fick was born and raised in Newbury Park, California, and lived there through college while attending the University of California, Santa Barbara. Shortly after graduating, he made a bold move—packing his car and relocating more than 2,000 miles to Nashville, Tennessee—where he launched his career in franchising with Chem-Dry Carpet Cleaning.

Over the next three years, Brett played a key role in growing the brand before advancing to Franchise Director of Development and later Vice President of Franchise Development for Main Line Brands. During this time, he helped scale Mosquito Authority into the largest mosquito control brand in the United States by territory footprint.

Outside of business, Brett is also a professional baseball player on the Cosmic Baseball Tour. In 2026, he will compete in more than 30 cities across the United States as part of this national entertainment and sports experience.

In March 2025, Brett founded Free Franchise Broker after more than a decade working alongside traditional franchise consulting networks. Through that experience, he recognized a major industry gap—many networks prioritize brand placement based on internal financial incentives rather than true client fit. Free Franchise Broker was built to challenge that model. The company focuses on connecting clients with brands the team genuinely believes in, led by strong leadership teams and supported by real growth potential.

Today, Free Franchise Broker has grown to include five Senior Franchise Consultants and proprietary AI-driven matching technology designed to help clients identify the best franchise opportunities based on personality profile, skill set, comfort level, and financial position.
